Depending on the complexity of the transaction, the acquisition process takes 4 to 16 weeks.
This is the typical process we follow:
Confidential discovery call - a discreet 30 to 60 minute phone or video call to discuss your business, our approach, and establish if we can work together. If we both feel there is potential, we arrange an in-person meeting.
In-person meeting - we spend time getting to know each other and go into more detail about your business, what you need, our plans for the business, and discuss how we can structure the deal.
Agree a fair price and deal structure - a fair valuation is agreed taking into account financial performance, asset value, and market conditions. We negotiate a deal structure together and commit this to a heads of terms document.
Due diligence - both parties engage a lawyer and an account to conduct legal and financial due diligence.
Closing - contracts are signed to formalise the acquisition.
Post acquisition hand over - you spend a pre-agreed period of time helping with a handover. We work together to ensure a smooth transition keeping staff and customers happy.
